The 4th largest city in Morocco, location of many films and with a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A city that pulsates and that will definitely never get boring...it was definitely very exciting and there was a lot of traffic and it was difficult to find our hotel. There are many alleys and alleys in the alleys here. A bit adventurous but everyone here is happy to help.

The journey was quite quick through the Atlas Mountains. It was very reddish here and that was worth a few pictures and a search.

The traffic in Marrakesh was very heavy. You came in slowly and slowly out. Our maison was quite central and we tried to drive there with the car. We then drove through narrow streets and feared that we were not far away from a dent or a scratch in the car.

We were now in the middle of the old town in Marrakesh with a Honda Accent limousine. Children ran to our car and tried to help us. We had to get out and continued on foot.

A local thought he believed where Maison Aicha was. We followed him and found that it was wrong and he just ran away...for whatever reason. Another local youth wanted us to follow him, he had a scooter and steered us out again. The whole thing lasted 1 hour so far.

And then it was very easy. We came in completely wrong because we came from another side. Directly at the maison was a park place and 2 minutes of it, tadaaa...

The local got a tip, which was not enough for him and he asked for more...ok I added something.

We were really stressed and a nice young owner welcomed us at the maison, which made us feel a little better again-and we had no damage to the car.

It was wonderful in the...

The old town (Medina) of Marrakesh was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1985. Also the Jemaa el Fna Square is in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2001.

The place was still quite deserted but you could see everything a lot and relaxed. The animal cage is unfortunately a bit too small for everyone...but at least they have food.

Musicians and entertainers create a nice atmosphere.

The largest mosque in marrakesh. The tower is 77m high. It is a bit similar to the Sidi oqba mosque that can be found in Kairouan. --> 3rd Day: Kairouan to Mahdia...pure culture

To find beautiful plants here too, that's how it should be, and one of my favorites is the hibiscus flower.

We were very interested in a visit to an approx. 4000m2 botanical garden with lots of flora.

Created in 1923 by Jaques Majorelle (after which the color majorelle blue was also named), restored by Yves Saint-Laurent & Pierre Bergé in the 80s and today still with the help of a few gardeners, well-tended garden with plants from all 5 continents.

For 2 people we paid 140dh and had a nice time there.

Directly opposite is the Benchaâbane perfumer. The smells are amazing. We bought the Soir de Marrakesh, a unisex fragrance and it is still in use today and has not lost any of its intensity. The scent that throws you back on your Moroccan vacation.

Back to Jemaa el Fna...

Short story -> In our hotel, a local who belonged to the hotel often offered us to go on tours with him, etc. We didn't really believe him, it seemed a bit dubious and we were careful there, but also because we wanted to explore for ourselves. Yes, and then he stood on the Jemaa el Fna in a white robe that was second to none, with a large group of tourists. He saw us and said: I told you I did tours. Madness...his appearance is changing from ordinary citizen to Hollywood star...that looked really great. It impressed me like the goatherd on Mount Tamri.

Up to this point, Morocco is very instructive on the matter: Don't be superficial.

We sat up on the terrace and had tea...a long time. It was nice to watch the hustle and bustle in the quiet while the sun was going down.

We went across the square again. In the meantime, the henna artists were also there, some of whom were very penetrative and caught one again and again...you had to really be careful that you didn't suddenly have something on your hand.

We sat down in another café to have something to eat.

And just when we thought we had seen everything here...at 11 p.m. some started to work and set up their stands. We waited until everyone was finished and did some shopping.

The rest of the evening, still very awake and excited, we spent on our terrace and slowly came down again. Marrakesh makes your pulse beat faster, the city has a real impact on you.
