6th Day: Silver to Love Waterfall and the Fansipan

Updated: Aug 6

We left on the Scooter at 8 a.m. Today 2 Waterfalls before we go to the Fansipan. The Waterfalls are in a small Radius and the tour can be easily combined with the Fansipan.

The Route

So, 20 min. later from our Hotel Samu Green...

It is very easy to park your Scooter at the Silver Waterfall. We paid 20,000 Dong per Person for this visit.

Silver Waterfall

A very nice Place for a little walk and well worth taking Photos of.

Here are some long exposures.

I couldn't decide on one Version and have all 3 Versions of the edit for you.

And 6 min. later we stopped at the Love Waterfall. There are parking spaces here too and we paid 70,000 Dong per Person to enter.

We first walked along a Path. A stray Dog was running around.

Also a bit Flora & Fauna.

Great Star, (Blanc Bleu) / Moth caterpillar

We continue across a small River.

Through the Jungle and along the River.

The walk takes about 30 minutes and the Waterfall was stunning.

Love Waterfall

A perfect Place to take intensive long exposure Photos.

Awesome!

Nature!

And the best pic of all! Love it!

We spent a few hours here because long exposure always takes a while.

On the way back to the Scooter...

Butterfly / Beetle

Time for something to eat in or at the Viewpoint Cafe. It was on our way back on the right Side.

Another Viewpoint just before the Fansipan. The Valley was simply amazing.

The weather had been pretty good and clear so far, but when we arrived at the Fansipan, clouds appeared. I asked about the safety of the Trip but I was just given a questioning look.

Hanging out in the open in bad Weather is just not my favorite activity. We then paid 1540 Dong and up with us.

The Cable Car is 6292m long and the ride took about 20 minutes.

It became increasingly foggy and cloudy. The transition can be seen clearly here.

First stage we have reached and now we had to walk up a few steps...

The Enlightenment Path of Thanh Van

We found some very large Moths up here. This one was 16cm wide, really big.

Tropical swallowtail Moth

Ok, we have the Cable Car ride behind us and we continue with a Funicular who rides on a railway.

We reached the top and we saw...nothing! But we are here.

Fansipan has a height of 3143m and is the highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina.

So, lets walk around because here is much to see other things.

Tallest Flagstaff of Indochina

Bao An Zen Monastery-Trinh Pagoda

And inside...

Cloudy...

Bich Van Pagoda-Bich Van Thien Temple

From afar the...

Sơn Nhạc Chung Linh-Guanyin Statue

Alahat Path

And up...

...to the

Tượng Phật A Di Đà-The Great Buddha Statue

We spent a few Hours here, unfortunately the Clouds didn't go away but it was still great.

The wonderful ride back.

Towards the evening Amanda had diarrhea, a fever and was also vomiting. We got Pizza and realized that neither of us could taste anything anymore. We'll continue tomorrow.
