We took the ferry to Phi Phi Island. The trip was beautiful despite the clouds, took 3 hours and passed the Maya Bay...

Today I don't know why we passed Maya Bay but it didn't hurt. She lies to the right of Phi Phi Island the beach of the bay is called Lim Buz. The whole island is called Ko Phi Phi Leh - there is also the Monkey Bay but more on that later.

On arrival it was raining lightly and then got stronger. We went to our small and natural hotel. It went uphill and it was very humid and warm here...the rain.

Garden Home Bungalow

Yes, very jungle-like, which we liked very much. The humidity in the room was a bit high but it worked. Very lovingly designed and a hook for our mosquito net was also available.

We freshened up and in that time the rain stopped. We went down to the coast and sat in a bistro to plan the following days and to familiarize ourselves with the island.

The way to Long Beach is sometimes narrow with a few roots in the way, but that works quite well.

The huts further up are very impressive.

We lay down here a bit but the thunderstorm wasn't far away. It wouldn't take long.

Uninhabited beach houses stood above the beach. After half an hour monkeys came there and could be photographed.

Long-tailed macaque

I went back to the beach, lay down and looked on Google which monkeys they are. I was bored and i decided to film them with the action cam. In the meantime they were 2 houses further to the right and were sitting there on the terrace.

The tail of the monkey can be up to 70cm long. The size of the monkeys is up to 63cm and the males have larger canine teeth. So far so good.

I carefully approached the terrace, went up the stairs and someone was sitting right there and suddenly hissed at me and I saw the big canines...he really didn't seem to have good intentions. He tore my towel away from me, grabbed my action cam...the other monkeys came along too. When I was about to go back the stairs, someone was already standing behind me, so better over the terrace. The monkeys had positioned themselves, I had to jump over the railing onto the ledge in order to continue walking outside, the monkeys did that too and cut my way. I jumped back again, ran all over the terrace to the back railing and jumped over there. Safe!

I had a few wounds on my foot and a shock, otherwise everything was fine.

Wow! It was action and the monkeys were very clever. Fortunately, nothing else happened but an experience of a lifetime. It's a strange feeling when you're being chased by animals.

They still had the action cam and my towel. I went down to Amanda and lay down. She said. I heard a scream there. Where have you been? - I had to laugh and was shocked at the same time.

After half an hour the monkeys were gone and luckily my actioncam was still there and also my towel.

The thunderstorm came and we went to our room.

We got ready for the evening and checked out the bars.

We treat ourselves to a 1 hour and first Thai massage in our lives. That was really exciting. It only cost a fraction of what it cost in Germany.

The women were quite small and petite, but they had strength! The massage started lightly and in the middle of the time it sometimes went, depending on the part of the body, to the limit of pain and you had to really participate and move. Once I wanted to get in touch, but somehow it worked. I got up and looked at the woman and thought it couldn't be...such a force. We felt good...everything was adjusted and oiled.

Luckily there was a fire show going on and we sat down.

Carlito´s Bar

A beautiful island, rain, a great natural room, a monkey dance and a fire show. So it has to be.

It was a good day!
