So today we're off to Ninh Binh. We started at 8:30 and paid 100,000 Dong for the trip. The trip was supposed to take 3 hours.
In between we took a short break and I photographed a beautiful insect.
Red Moth
When we arrived in Ninh Binh City we directly called a taxi to Tam Coc Friendly Homestay.

Nam welcomed us warmly and showed us the complex as well as the rooms. It's really beautiful here and while Amanda rented a scooter, I took photos of everything.
A very beautiful garden.
Citrus long-horned beetle / Butterfly
Flaming Katy / Rose Periwinkle / Yellow Cosmos
Pomelo / Chili / Tomato
Amanda still had a stomach ache, but didn't want to miss the tour.
So, let´s roll.
It continued with a boat tour in...
Trang An
Because of the limestone cliffs, the Trang An landscape complex is often called the Dry Halong Bay. Trang An has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014.
With every meter you could take an even more beautiful picture.
The beautiful landscape of Trang An covers an area of about 2,000 hectares.
We went ashore to walk a bit of the way.
A nice Photo spot.
A long exposure in different color was necessary. Fantastic.
A very beautiful place. It has that certain something.
So, we walked across the bridge, saw the airplane parts and looking for the Moviespot.
Kong Skull Island Moviespot
Yes, we didn't see the movie, but it was still cool. We had to gather at the river to head back. Amanda's stomach was still not feeling well, but she held up well.
At the end a museum of Trang An.
We paid 200,000 dong per person for the 2.5 hour boat tour. When you get there, don't get intercepted at Mua Cave and drive on through.
We drove back to our hotel to freshen up for Hang Mua and the Mua Cave. Unfortunately, Amanda had a bad stomach ache and considered skipping the trip. But she do it and we set off. Everything was only 10 minutes away from us. The trip is per person 100,000 dong, to the Lying Dragon Mountain.
Hang Mua
The river all around is simply beautiful. Hence a picture in various styles.
Tiger Cave
Here you could continue walking through the corridors, but not with dry feet.
So, we walked up the many steps...500 - 30 minutes. Amanda had to stop very often because of her stomach pain.
The many steps are quite tiring. But the view is always beautiful.
So, we are on top. Amanda was still in pain and sat upstairs until sunset.
There were really a lot of people there and everyone wanted to get on the Lying Dragon to take pictures.
It was also not entirely safe to climb there.
Sundown
A bit Art - fantastic!
Before it got dark we went back down and drove to our hotel. The scooter sometimes stopped working because the quality of the petrol here is probably a bit bad.
Due to recurring stomach problems on vacation - here are a few tips:
Don't drink cold water.
Avoid water from the tap.
Avoid food washed with water and ice cubes.
Be careful with fish, open fruit, milkshakes and ice cream.
Mineralize yourself every day. Magnesium and salt, for example, are important. Electrolytes. You can also take mild herbal stomach tablets as a preventative measure.
